Hunger Games Foods – Catching Fire Premiere

Hunger GamesThe Hunger Games are FILLED with food (seriously, with a name like HUNGER Games, how could they not be).

Hunger Games & Catching Fire… Everything is controlled by a pretty messed up government and there is little to no freedom, with everything down to how much food you are allowed is controlled by those in charge. Katniss has now survived the first Hunger Games, by killing off everyone else and “falling in love” with Peeta. They go on a tour all around the other Districts and eat their way through the whole country and Katniss discovers some runaways from another District who support Katniss and think she is starting a revolution against the Capital. Finally, they are recruited with other survivors of previous games to become contestants in the Quarter Quell. Together, many of the contestants “beat the system” and survive only to be under constant control and torture of the members of the Capitol.

Throughout the whole series, although there is a lack of food – they eat pretty well! Fictional Food has a really nice Round-Up list of all the Catching Fire Foods, in addition to some amazing recipes of Hunger Games Foods, including special Mockingjay Cookies & Cupcakes… please check out all of the food on Fictional Food’s site, she is so creative and artistic and wonderful!!
