Celery & Peanut Butter

Celery & Peanut Butter

March is National Celery Month. celery

Celery is a vegetable with many health benifits & myths surrounding it. There is a TON of Vitamin K in Celery, it will hold many of its nutritional values when cooked, it helps with your digestive tract, and supports cardiovascular health. March is (also) National Peanut Month (peanut butter is made from peanuts – hence the use of peanut butter in this post).

Peanut Butter may be relatively high in fats, but they are all natural and has a wide range of other nutrients filling its container. Peanut Butter is a great source of proteins, so even those who do not eat animal proteins can (and should) enjoy lots of this stuff (unless they are one of the many people who are allergic to nuts). Another interesting fact: the patent for Peanut Butter was obtained by a Canadian in the late 1800s and Peanuts are a native food to the Americas.

St. Patricks Day Corned Beef, roasted Cabbage n slow cooked vegetables

The “easiest” way to make Corned Beef is to just throw it with that little seasoning package right into some boiling water for about 3 hours, maybe throw in the potatoes & cabbage for the last 15-30 minutes or so, serve with some spicy mustard and call it St. Patrick’s Day.
